Two new mini-clip videos from the Rock Art Foundation's annual Rock Art Rendezvous at the White Shaman Preserve which is near confluence of the Pecos and the Rio Grande, a short drive west from Comstock, Texas.

Two new podcasts, one an interview with Raymond Caballero about the murder of Mexican revolutionary general Pascual Orozco in the Van Horn Mountains, and the other about the Seminole Scouts, are in-progress. There will be more until there are 24. The latest is #19 Pitmaster Israel Campos in Pecos.

C.M. Mayo is an award-winning literary journalist and novelist currently at work on a book about Far West Texas (hence these podcasts). A native of El Paso, in 2017 she was inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters. Her most recent works include Metaphysical Odyssey into the Mexican Revolution, which was awarded the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award for History, and The Last Prince of the Mexican Empire, a novel based on the true story and named a Library Journal Best Book for 2009. Mayo is also the author of Miraculous Air: Journey of a Thousand Miles through Baja California, the Other Mexico, two chapters of which, as essays, won Lowell Thomas Awards, and she is editor of Mexico: A Traveler's Literary Companion, a collection of 24 works of Mexican fiction and literary prose, many in translation for the first time.
